Plants Don't Stand a Chance

For some reason, the Griffins are unable to keep plants alive. We've tried and tried and tried and they always die shortly after arriving at our house. The big plant we got from my MIL died after about two months. When we lived in Boston, Phillip would buy me flowers and they would be dead within a day. Two weeks ago my MIL brought us a hanging plant for our dining room. It was a week before the sweltering heat-wave and I made sure to water it to keep it from drying out. I water it about two times a week, but it just doesn't want to live. See?

The leaves are supposed to be dark green and healthy, but instead, they are brown and yellow and falling off. I watered it again this morning and hope it comes back to life. If it doesn't, that's the last plant the Griffins will take in. They all die. We can't keep them alive no matter what we do. It's a wonder Lola is still alive and breathing! I guess we just don't have a green thumb...or something.
