I Think I Know What I Need

i would prefer a puppy, but we can't have dogs here. and phillip doesn't like them. who doesn't like dogs? that's what i want to know.

maybe having a cat will help me out of my funk. i know getting a job would help me, since that's what i stress about the most. but having a pet to play with might ease my mind a bit.

does anyone know if there's a no-kill shelter within the twin cities, preferrably on a bus route? we'd love to adopt a kitty, and we figure that since i'm home all day, this is the perfect time. please comment if you know where we can get a kitty (but please don't recommend pet stores as we think they are evil).

I don't know where the shelter is, but I know we have one.

I'd just like to speak up that I am another person in the world who isn't all that fond of dogs -- Other people's dogs are alright, but I'd never want to own one.

There is a no kill shelter in Oakdale (I could find out the exact name)but I think that is sorta far for you. Check online. Google no kill shelters. That should help you the best!

PS, cats are great pets, and it does help the depression a lot. Looking at that face, and getting the licks and purrs makes even the worst day better! I have had my boy for 11 years, and he has helped me through some of the darkest times of my life!
