The Darjeeling Limited

Went to see The Darjeeling Ltd last night at the Uptown theater. I have to say, I was sadly not impressed. I mean, I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it like other Wes Anderson films. It was a tad too long and the funny parts are all in the trailer, which always sucks and pisses me off. I did see some trailers of some upcoming films I'd like to see, so that was good. But overall, I'm not really into The Darjeeling Limited, which is sad because I've wanted to see it since I first saw the trailer about 3 months ago. Oh well.

Darjeeling, based on the previews, seems like a quirky film that is probably going to appeal to the same folks who liked films like "Little Miss Sunshine" or "Garden State". I think it would be worth watching (to me) but my wife would say otherwise so that makes it a rental. In short, it sounds like the same premise of "A Life Aquatic"

That's disappointing. I love Wes Anderson. I plan to see it as well, so I'll let you know what I think.
