Cheap Date

tonight, phillip and i went to the walker museum because it's free to the public on thursdays. it was nice, although three of the floors were closed, so that was a bummer. after the museum we had dinner at pizza luce. i've finally found new york style pizza! and in the midwest of all places! it was delicious and i had cheesecake for dessert. so the bus ride, dinner, and the hour at the art gallery cost only $20! awesome.

then we walked about a mile home. it was cold.

i'm kind of getting tired of survivor. it's all the same thing every season. oh well.

tomorrow i'm going to paper source to see if they are hiring. it's not that far from our house and it's my favorite store, so why the hell not? it'll be something till i find the pie in the sky.

oh, and can any of you fellow Mpls residents please explain to me why there are no blue mailboxes on any of the streets? i have a pile of mail i have to send out and there's not a mailbox to be found! so what the hell am i supposed to do with my mail? i left it in a pile with a note for our mailperson, but they didn't take it. i can't belive there are no mail boxes anywhere in the whole city! it's insanity!

There are too blue mailboxes on the corners! Yes! Keep looking, you'll spot them.

And did you know that your friendly postal carrier will also pick up your mail from your apartment? Just tie it all together with a rubberband and put it in your box with "outgoing" on a post-it. S/he will totally take care of it for you.

I love the Paper Source. Sounds like a good Thursday evening. I just did the Walker last week -- but I'm sure you knew that...

Congratulations on your successful entertainment outing. I've heard stories of how great Pizza Luce is but I've never been. Luckily, I believe one is currenly slated to come to my neighborhood. Hurrah!

As for Survivor, it's always boring at the begining (because we are girls and the boobs just don't entertain us like they do the boys) but wait till they get going and there's all the back stabbing and deceiving and conniving. You'll then be over-using the edge of your brand new couch!

michele-
i left them for my mailperson yesterday and they didn't take them. so i put them back in the mailbox with a big OUTGOING sticker on it. maybe they couldn't read it yesterday...

i'll keep looking for the mailboxes though... :)

Now when you want Italian-style pizza, you have to go to Punch Pizza in Uptown. And Galactic Pizza is super-yummy, too! They deliver in these tiny energy-efficient cars, and come to your door wearing their own handmade superhero cosumes. Ain't it grand?!?
