OK, Kids! Brace Yourself!

I GOT THE JOB!

I'm sure you're saying "Huh? What job?". Well I didn't want to post about it for two reasons. One, I didn't want to jinx myself since this is a job I wanted the most out of all the jobs I've applied to/interviewed for. And Two, I thought the interview went so badly that I didn't want to write about it and get my hopes down even more. Well, I guess I must have said something right because they called this morning and asked me to start in two weeks.

HOORAY!

It took so long for them to get back to me. I applied for this job 7 weeks ago. I'm glad I followed up with them a few times and even asked my old boss to write a letter of recommendation for me. He didn't get a chance to because as he was typing it, he got a call from the woman who interviewd me. He sent me an email staying "I told them to avoid you like the plague!". Ha! I miss that guy. Anyway, whatever he said did the trick and now I'm employed!

I'm jumping out of my skin, I'm so happy! I start in 10 days.

Oh, and Phillip just put "Walking on Sunshine" by Katrina and the Waves on. He said "It's a happy song!" I love him!

Hooray! Good for you, congrats, it's got to feel good, etc. That sounds sarcastic but I mean it in the nice way.

Cool! Will you have to get the car sooner than later now? Or will the transit system work for you?
