Little Furry Creatures Make Me Smile

Tonight Phillip and I went for a walk around our neighborhood after dinner. It was still pretty nice out, although a little chilly. We were walking down the street when I noticed something unusual on the ground next to a sportscar. Upon further inspection I noticed it was a tiny little bunny rabbit! I got to take two quick pictures of him before he hopped off. I hope he made it to his home okay. I'd be sad if he was lost or got hit by a car or something.
I've never seen a bunny up close like this. I mean, out and about. I used to have a rabbit when I was a kid (I was big into 4-H. I know, I'm a dork) but he always stayed in his cage. I wanted to take this bunny home, but I didn't want to make Lola jealous.

I think Lola would have a fine time with the bunny, at least until the bunny "wore out."

That is so cute!! I used to have a house rabbit -- my li'l bunny Choux-Choux. She and the cats got along okay, mostly because Choux-Choux was FAST. Thank you for reminding me of her, HB. I loved that li'l bunny! (Maybe I'm a dork, too...)

Moments like that are so precious and few. And honestly, if this bunny was like the ones I chased as a child, I do not think you could have caught it. (Not that you are slow, just that he is fast!) We tried and tried as kids at my Grandpa's to catch the bunnies that were all over in the yard, because my Mom said, if we could catch one, without a trap, we could keep it. Never had a pet bunny...

Lotsa bunnies around these parts - they do enjoy nibbling in the gardens. Last year we had BABY bunnies in the tall green plants next to our house in St. Paul - very cute.

I was driving in the industrial area between the two UMTC campuses today and I saw a TURKEY pecking away, right next to the roadway! I guess it could've been a refugee from the ag school, but it looked pretty much like a wild turkey to me. Wish I'd had my camera...

adorable!!! the picture sort of looks like it might be the bunny's car and he's posing next to it. "Yeah these are my wheels. Check out the rims."
