Don't Make Me Laugh

i always think it's hysterical when people try to act all tuff and macho (or whatever the female equivalent is) on the internet. and i really find it funny when people try to pick fights or try to impose their opinions or beliefs onto others. guess what? it's the internet, not real life! you know that the tuff guys/gals who puff out their proverbial chest online are weak people in "real life". just take a look at Craig's List. pick any city anywhere in the world and you'll have both men and women spouting the most hate filled crap imaginable. it's obvious they do it to get a rise out of those who are reading, but you have to wonder why they do it. my guess is because they could never say what they want to say to those who they are attacking out in public. don't like fat people? craig's list let's you go off on those who carry extra (or more than extra) pounds. don't like gays or anyone who isn't white? go ahead and post it! don't think women are worth anything and should be abused verbally and made to feel like shit on a daily basis? just click on Rants & Raves and tell us what you think!! there's no need to hold back! hell, it's anonymous, so no one will know it's you in Customer Service who hates women so bad you hope they all contract STDs and die.

i can't stand these people, nor do i understand them. they are cowardly and small minded. it also amuses me that the bulk of all this hatred is posted during the 9-5 workday. you have to wonder why all these people are so pissed off and full of hate. is it because they hate their jobs and have 8 hours a day to stew? i can't tell you, but it's an epidemic online. that's why i stay far away from craig's list. it's full of losers, stalkers, immature people, bigots, homophobes, sexists, heightists, fatphobes, and racists (to name a few). it's disgusting.

my motto: if i'm not able to sign my name to it, i have no business saying it. if you can't post your name and email address when expressing your hatred, you have no business posting it. that's how i feel. *shrug*

Rants and Raves is pretty bad, but have you read the Politics section!?! its basically the most opinionated egomanical idiots from both the conservative and liberal movement just calling each other names. kinda funny, but sad too. no wonder intelligent political discourse is at an all time low in the country.

no, i try to say far away from craig's list. it's obsurd. people are so hate-filled and rude. and yeah, the name-calling is just too much sometimes.

the only thing that CL is good for is getting free or cheap stuff. but even that can be a bit sketchy.

for looking for bandmates, CL is indespensable. but yeah, otherwise its good for a laugh...and to look at the desperate people in Casual Encounters of course.

don't get me started on the CE section. i'm convinced that for every 5 men that post, ZERO women post. and when a woman posts, some asshat copies her post and pastes it to R&R for the rest of the assholes to rip apart.

ugh. it makes me feel dirty.

I don't get it either. I try to never write anything that I wouldn't say to the persons face.

I thought Craig's list was like a for sale board... I'm thinking I missed something. Not that I am complaining...

Oh, and I have a seafood allergy so my husband almost never gets to eat it either. He always gets it when he travels.

well, both my fiance and i got our (prior) apartments through craig's list, as well as some part time jobs. we also bought some cheap stuff and was able to sell some stuff, too.

but the people who post on rants and raves are just bitter, mean, nasty people. makes me shudder to think of running into these people out in the real world.
