Wouldn't you know it!
Today is the day I get the calls from places I applied & interviewed at with the message "We LOVE you! Please work for us!"
And I have to kindly decline as I've already accepted a position elsewhere.
But isn't it funny the way life works? Two weeks ago I was positive that I'd be unemployed for months and would have to live off my husband. Today? All of Minnesota wants me. And it comes right after I've said "yes" to someone else.
But I'm OK with it. The job I accepted doesn't pay as much as Job X and Position Z, but I'm pretty positive I'll be happy there in the long-run. And isn't that what's most important? Having a job that makes you happy? I don't want to dread getting up 5 days a week and working in a place that I hate. And that may or may not have happened with Job X and Position Z, but I am confident that I made the right choice. And that's what's important.

Being happy where you work is WAY more important than the money that you make! I'm about to leave a well paying job I hate for a low paying job I'll hopefully love. Unfortunately, I'm now used to the good money so it's going to hurt a little bit to make this change. Good choice HB! I wish you lots of good luck in your new position. And congratulations! And way to go! And you rock!
