Lola Guards My Books

Lola Guards My Books

I purchased two books at B&N yesterday. Surprisingly, the gift card i got from Droid Boss had more than $15 on it. I don't think she's aware of that, since $15 was written on the card. Anyhoo, I got these lovely books that have a lot of great tips and tricks. I was able to successfully make my first batch of chocolate cupcakes with REAL buttercream frosting. YUM! they turned out so well. the 500 Cupcakes book has a lot of variety, including low-fat, low-sugar, gluten free, dairy free, and vegan varieties. I will have to try them all at some point. for sure.

Today has been a seriously crappy day. My allergies have prevented me from breathing out my nose at all. Really quite frustrating. I have been using the Zycam nasal gel, but it seems to only work for a few hours (even though it's "all day relief"). Does anyone know of any natural remedies for allergies and/or congestion?

I'm going to watch some TV and then go to bed. I should hear back tomorrow from the woman who interviewed me on Tuesday. Hopefully she'll offer me the job.

mmmmmm cupcakes. Yum. Book shopping is always so relaxing.

Did you get your 4hrs pay - or was the extra on the gift card enough to cover it?

What works like a charm for both my boyfriend and I (and we're both terrible allergy sufferers year round) are those Breathe Right nasal strips. Believe me, they are magic.

And let me know if you ever make gluten-free cupcakes. I'm curious! I can't ever seem to get them to be moist enough!
