Nothing Of Importance

I slept in until 10:45 this morning. To be honest, I could go right back to bed and sleep the rest of the day away. But I shouldn't. I have things I want to accomplish today.

For starters, I need to find a doctor in the Uptown or Downtown area. I am feeling just fine, but since most doctors have a wait list for new patients, I need to call and make an appointment now in case I get sick in the future. I have the names of a few people, but if any of you see a really great female PCP, please let me know.

The stuff I ordered from Bed, Bath and Beyond should be here today. I found two gift cards we got for our wedding in my wallet and decided to use them. I got stuff we needed as opposed to stuff we wanted. That leads me to my next item to accomplish:

Finding a new job. I love my job, I really do. It's stress-free, fun, and I love my co-workers. But I am not abe to survive on what I'm being paid. I have a mountain of debt (which I wracked up between October '05 and January '06 between our wedding and our move out here) that I cannot pay down because whatever I'm paid every week goes toward groceries and keeping the lights on, you know? It's frustrating and depressing and putting a strain on things around here. So if any of you have openings at your places of employment or would like to see my resume, let me know. I'm quite desperate.

I paid over $300 for these glasses because I'm practically blind. That really upset me, too. Like I have $300+ for stupid glasses:

I have to mail out my sister's birthday present. It's been sitting here for over a week. I'm never on time when it comes to sending gifts. Bah.

Tonight the Hubs and I are going to see Emo Philips at Acme Comedy Co. The Hubs used to like this dude when he was a kid. I hope that he's still funny, 30 years later ;) I just have to figure out how to get there and we'll be all set.

I'm so unmotivated to do any of this stuff. It doesn't help that my allergies are kicking my ass today. Bah. Hope everyone else is having a swell day. Here's a photo of Lola by the dishes. It would be awesome if she actually did the dishes, but I know that's asking for a lot.

First off, I think your glasses are SUPER cute! And from one blind lady to another, it DOES suck having to pay a small fortune just so we can see mostly clear!!!

Second, don't you love it when our kitty's walk all around our nice clean dishes, just to get kitty hair all over them.

Third off, GOOD LUCK ON THE JOB FRONT!! I know you will find something good.

Fourth, have fun at Acme tonight. I love going there!

Lastly, but most important! Hang in there, things will get better! There are better days ahead!
