Myspace Is Strange

I hardly ever log on to Myspace. I never really got why it was so popular. I did the whole Friendster thing back in '02 (or whenever it was super popular) and really thought it was bogus. I guess I feel the same about Myspace. Except it's a good way to keep in touch with my brother and my good friend Melissa.

Today I got an unusual amount (4) of friend requests, so I decided to log on and check them out. 3 out of 4 were spam, and one was for a band that a friend is in, so that was cool. But while I was on there, I was amazed to see that the podunk highschool I went to has 15 pages of people listed. I think when I joined there were, um, 10 of us? Something like that. Anyway, I scrolled through the pages and I don't know 85% of the people listed. You'd think I would, since the school I went to was K-12 and I spent 11 years there. But I can't recognize the faces or the names and for a minute or two I felt really old. But then the moment passed and I felt relieved that there are only a handful of people that I know. Of course, the people I'd like to talk to again aren't even on Myspace, and all the people I loathe are. That's the reason why I never log on to Myspace.

And another reason why you'll never catch me at a reunion. The thought of going back there makes me queasy and the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. No. Thanks.

Anyway, on a different note, I completed everything on the list I made yesterday, except for the taxes. Man, I just don't want to face them. I have to pay both MN and MA state taxes this year and it's driving me bazooks. Plus, we file jointly, and we're itemizing this year, so that's another thing that's making me hate tax time. I wish they would just do themselves.

Lola has decided that her new favorite chair is the one I use at my desk. I'd get mad, but how can you yell at a cat as cute as Lola? That's right, you can't. So I just take my laptop elsewhere and let her sleep. Spoiled? Nawwwwwww........
